Erdbeerhof Lierzer strawberry farm heated with Windhager wood chip boiler
Walter Lierzer runs an agricultural and forestry business in Sankt Marein im Mürztal. Cereals, maize and oil pumpkin are planted here, and also pick-your-own strawberries. For Walter Lierzer, his profession brings with it the desire to live and work in harmony with nature. That's why the family made a conscious decision 25 years ago to install an environmentally friendly wood chip heating system. A photovoltaic system was also installed more than 10 years ago. The ageing wood chip boiler has now been replaced with the new PuroWIN wood chip gasification boiler from Windhager. By the way, the wood used for heating comes entirely from their own forests.
Walter Lierzer is particularly fond of two things about his new heating system: The patented gasification boiler technology and the operation via an app. This saves time for the busy farmer!
